Defusion – Creating a Mindful Space
One of the most helpful tools in creating a mindful space is something called defusion. To put it simply, defusion is all about stepping back and observing our own cognitive and emotional processes mindfully.
Rejection is Protection
One of the most uncomfortable human experiences is the experience of being rejected. It can also bring up a lot of unhelpful thoughts and seemingly confirm our own conscious and subconscious narratives that question our worth and value.
The Importance of Authentic Feeling
Sometimes we lose ourselves in ideas, concepts that our brain creates to make reality less painful than it is. We disguise our fears and perceived weaknesses in an attempt to appear as though nothing can bring us down. Nothing can crack the cold, hard, and seemingly invincible exterior in which we’ve coated our real, raw, and vulnerable skin.
Emotional Expansion
Once we expand, we are then open to receiving the messages contained within our emotional experience. And this makes all the difference in being able to choose actions guided by what’s truly valuable to our souls.
Barriers To Acceptance
By challenging these common myths and perceptions, we give ourselves the freedom to break down barriers to acceptance. In doing so, the path towards acceptance and how to incorporate it into our own reality becomes clearer and less resisted.
The Purpose in Your Pain
To resist or avoid the depths of pain is to turn away from the most authentic parts of your soul. To close the beautiful tapestry that provides a window into who you are.
Moving Through Instead of Moving On
Has anyone ever told you to just move on or to just let it go? How does it feel to hear those words? What does it even mean to move on from something or to really let something go? Is there any way to measure success in these feats?
