My approach

I specialize in the treatment of a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), grief/loss, life transitions, interpersonal issues, trauma, and attachment issues. I strive to create an accepting and genuine atmosphere, as I am passionate about working collaboratively with my clients to facilitate enduring intrinsic growth and an increased ability to live an authentic and meaningful existence. While I consider myself an eclectic relational therapist, I tend to operate most from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) modality that is rooted in an attachment-based and trauma-informed lens.

Meet Kaylee Garside, R.Psych

I’m Kaylee, a Registered Psychologist that has been offering counselling services in the private practice sector since 2016. Prior to working in private practice, I gained valuable experience at the Calgary Counselling Centre and Distress Centre working with diverse populations and a variety of presenting issues. I now primarily work with individual adults and adolescents, but have previous experience working with couples and families as well.

I strongly believe that the definition of a meaningful life is unique to each client and as such, I seek to integrate individual values and beliefs into the therapeutic process, using a blend of compassion, humanness, and humour (when needed!).

My goal is that through our work together, you foster a deeper understanding of yourself that enables you to become more aligned to your life’s purpose and desires.
